i want to dedicate this whole entry to Jes because she got me out of deep shit

and i mean DEEP SHIT

so thanks for braving the hot weather and drove out to me to save my ass LOL

lodging – checked

in total, i’ve stayed in Santa Clara, San Francisco and Daly City in California, Chandler in Arizona, Hillsboro in Oregon and Seattle in Washington.

i only stayed in 3 different hotels and the rest were either with my sister or i crashed in friends’ places.

all in all, i think the best one is Residence Inn Marriot, then Plaza Suites. Hawthorn Suite sucks to the max.

my first hotel in Santa Clara – Plaza Suites

the place is okay except they don’t have a decent kitchen and worst of all, they only provide wired broadband connection and the length of the cable barely makes it into the bedroom.

the bed is comfy though

and of course the mirror and the lightings so tempting that i had to camwhore like everyday wtf

bathroom is not too big but it’s decent

i stayed in Mei’s place in Daly City for Christmas which is very very nice except that it’s very chilly in her apartment. but the living room is so comfy and we played wii all the time. 

i then went back to SC, checked out and stayed in Residence Inn Marriot just next to Plaza Suites. That is because KevinL said Plaza Suites sucks and he wants to go to Residence Inn so badly

and i couldn’t agree more after i checked in. they have free wireless internet.

the only thing i’m not comfortable with is that there’s no partition in the suite, and i could see the living room, the kitchen bar and the bathroom mirror from where i lie on the bed. creepy indeed to stay alone

they have full sized kitchen complete with huge ass fridge, microwave, dish washer, cooking utensils and hot chocolate powder

Plaza Suites provide Bath & Body Works lotion and shampoo. Residence inn gave some cheap ass soap.

the best part is waking up to a buffet breakfast everyday with cereal, milk, french toast, pancakes, waffles, toasts with all kinds of jams, fruits, chocolate milks, hot chocolates, coffee, scrambled eggs, bacons, hams, bagels, etc etc etc etc wtf

i flew to Chandler right after that and checked in to Hawthorn Suites. i hated the place the minute i open the door because it smelled like hospital wtf and the place is ancient! so old everything’s worn

the kitchen is old & everything looks extremely dirty

the bathroom is quite big. but i hate the floor and i hate the soap because it smell like almond. rotten almond wtf.

the only decent thing is the bed which i’m very happy with

but not after i found a cockroach beside the bed. and while we hunt it down, we found a couple more lying everywhere WTF how to sleep like that you tell me?

i left after 2 nights and went to Vegas. I flew from Vegas to Hillsboro. and crashed in with a friend’s apartment in Hillsboro where i stayed for a week.

i got a free ride from the guys from Oregon to Seattle where i stayed with my sister in her apartment for a weekend. the room is small but comfortable with attached bathroom and fridge and microwave. Sorta like a suite but a mini one.

i flew back to SC from Seattle and checked in to Residence Inn again. it’s the exact suite i stayed before, except this time with a fire place.

i’ve always dreamt of having a fire place in my house during winter don’t know for what malaysia where got winter wtf imagine lying next to the fire place when it’s shivering cold so comfyyyyy but i didn’t do that because i think the suite carpet is dirty and i don’t know where to buy the logs also unless i chop off the tree outside my suite wtf

my last stop is in a friend’s place in San Francisco in Geary Blvd near to the ocean. i drove out to the ocean road just like less than 5 minutes away overlooking Golden Gate bridge.

 

and Hui Lau San is less than 5 minutes down Geary, and Quickly just at the corner of the street.

which explains my body size now wtf

breathtakingly beautiful i could stand on the point stage all day doing nothing eating clam chowder wtf

everyone says the trees here are nicer but i don’t think so but i take the photo of it anyhow wtf

there’re even kids playing violins oh god i miss my violin can’t wait to go back for it

even the houses lined up along the streets are so pretty and to wake up facing the sea everyday *jealous

i went to the Point Pinos Lighthouse too but i couldn’t find the photos.

will post it up once i found it

i’m gonna just find a corner and sleep on the floor coz the next flight is 5 hours away

and my laptop is dying! i checked in my charger with my other luggages wtf wtf how stupid can i be T_______T

i’m trying to buy chocolates here but everything is packed so nicely in valentines package with a lot of loves and reds like wtf no mood to buy oredy

i thought i packed the chocolate we bought in safeway in my bag. brr. you must have placed it somewhere else i thought it’s on the working desk brrr…

i was out today to Grant Ave to get my favourite egg tart cause god knows how much i crave for them

i park my car and decided to walk cause i thought i damn pro already know my way around SF.

so yah.

wtf never attempt to walk without a map. i walked for 45 minutes totally in the opposite direction of where i park my car and worse still, i couldn’t remember where i park so i couldn’t even ask someone

this random man came up to me and asked me for direction ya wtf right don’t i look like i’m going to break down and cry any minute coz i dont freaking know where i am myself wtf

ya ok anyway i found my car after an hour or so.

have u guys watched Cloverfield. i watched it in AMC couple of days ago. i’d always liked king kong or godzilla or jurassic park so i was pretty excited even though porny gave bad reviews

turns out it was so good. i felt like i was in the movie myself and i pee-d in my pants (nearly) cause it was so heart thumping.

there’re couple of stuff that were not very logical in the movie but heck since when does all jurassic and godzilla make sense right. stuff like how the hot chick Beth could stand up and run even though she was stabbed with an iron rod like wtf right

oh yah and i went for Hui Lau San. Jes how can u not know hui lan san it’s a dessert house famous for all the mango stuff yummy

Sleepless in Seattle

i flew to Seattle for the weekend. and it’s such a nice city. the architecture and everything is nice and the coffee shops blah blah blah it makes the whole place so romantic.

okay i considered both San Francisco and Seattle to be comparable. on 2nd thought, Seattle might be a lil bit nicer because it’s not as crowded and busy as San Francisco.

but of course things would be different if i actually stay there and work right who knows

every city has some unique icons that we need to visit. in seattle, we went to Kerry Park which overlooks Seattle city.

it’s a pity with such a great camera we couldn’t take a nice photo of the city. but the view is omg so awesome. but here’s a better one

the next morning we went to this dimsum place that they claimed is very good wtf only when i reach there i know what they meant very good is the girls not the food T____T

right after that we headed to Pike’s Place where we were pretty lucky to find a parking space right next to the street

i stopped by World’s First Starbucks where i bought a cup. and did you notice the logo is different why are there boobs in the logo no wonder they changed it

the small little coffee shop is packed! people singing outside and a long queue inside

the girls reunited!!!!!!!

so we took a lot a lot of photos including this one wtf not like the flowers very pretty also

but we don’t care and continued taking photo with the seafood

sleepless in seattle is shot here. to be honest, i’ve never watched sleepless in seattle but i swore i would once i got back

it was sort of drizzling but we stepped out in the rain anyhow. Shan has to bend down so much to be on the same height -_-”

we were so fascinated by the golden pig at the Pike’s entrance

a few steps down the stairs is the Wall Of Gum, of which i thought they looked more like condom not gum. i also stick my own gum into the wall wtf

we went to Space Needle after Pike’s Place. omg me and Shan look great together AHAHA

so unlucky of us to have a Pad Thai thrown to our moving car when we were on the way to Pioneer Square wtf ewww gross and funny we couldn’t stop laughing when we found out it’s Pad Thai not Worms as what we thought

there were underground tours at this area, apparently, it’s like another city down there but it was 12 bucks i would have gone for it if we have the time. all the buildings have stairs to go to the ‘basement’

we then walked almost 6 streets down to the harbour. where they shot Grey’s Anatomy. and you know what?? i found out Andy watch Grey’s as well like omg it’s so rare to find anyone who watches it so i guess we’re almost on the same channel

it was very nice out there that day

we ended the day with some shoppings in Seattle Premium Outlet where i didn’t even really shop WHY i have so much things to buy!!!

they drove back to Oregon after they dropped me at my sister’s place. i guess the happiest besides being able to meet up with my sister is to be reunited with Shan

Can’t wait for my next Seattle trip.

Cheezzzz

my last trip to the States i did not go to CheeseCake Factory and i’ve been complaining.

this time around, i went for 5 times already crazy

i went straight after work and was sooooo hungry that i finish all the bread. of course not by myself lah

and JG ordered the cocktail “Mai Pai”

and he kept on telling me he’s steam already after 2 sips and this is what’s left for me to finish

i usualyl just ordered chicken sandwich but i decided to try some other grilled chicken that night topped with Mozarella Cheese. and it’s SO GOOD. although it looked like piece of shit in the photo

i just need to remember the next time we go for dinner i won’t let JG order alcoholic drink because he so cannot make it ahahah wtf

another day in SJose

it’s so rare to find me waking up at 8am without growling grunting rolling a million times on the bed as if there’s acid on the floor and stepping out of bed would neutralize me or something wtf

and it’s even more rare to find me smiling on my drive to work and singing on top of my lungs even though it’s drizzling and it’s not even a good sunny day at all

but i really do so wanted to go to the cinema and catch some good movies

oh well i dread the day i have to leave T____T

and u’d wonder what i do in the room when Kevin is not here

wtf i need help

what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas

our vegas trip didn’t come out as expected.

our great plan is to leave work at 4, pick up my boss on the way at 5, then reach Vegas at 8.30 or 9. perfect for a great night out where we can slip in a couple more shows

ya right.

so turned out we left work at 4. hang out in HC’s room for an hour. dinner in CheeseCake Factory at 6. went back to HC room for another half an hour. and picked up boss at 9.30pm.

his flight was delayed for 5 hours because of the California storm.

sigh. so ended up we reached Vegas at 3am. i didn’t sleep the entire journey coz i didn’t want to miss out the “Vegas Entrance” that i had longed for since my visit 2 years ago. if u’ve travelled with me, u’d know what i mean coz i couldn’t stop describing about it.

ok anyway, we stayed in MGM Grand

where we booked the Queen Suite room, which looked like this

and the bathroom is as big where me and HC each get a wash basin

the living room is pretty spacious but we didn’t even step to that area coz we headed straight to the bed everytime

the hotel made a mistake or something with the overbookings, and upgraded the queen suites to the Marquee Suites for free

you could probably guess how big it is from the grand entrance

which is 1550 sq feet

with an oversized marble bar area to welcome guests

with private bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with jacuzzi

each bedroom with a TV and couch

and panaromic views of LasVegas

and i caught this while walking around the room. okay this is what happens in vegas stays in vegas wtf

sigh these photos didn’t even do the room justice at all. it was way bigger okay

i took a photo with the lion coz mgm grand is all about the lion and if i didn’t take it, people would think i’ve never been there wtf

i didn’t take much photo that night because we didn’t have a good camera to capture night view wtf got tripod also useless

we walked around the strip all the way to circus circus

where we had 99cents hotdog

we then walked to venetian to take a look

and also the asian club Tao which is so famous i might consider go in the next time i go to Vegas maybe can bump into Britney Spears wtf

we then walked over to Treasure island anticipating for the Siren show coz the last time i went the show was cancelled due to high wind wtf but this time also get cancelled also due to high wind wtf why is god so unfair to me

at least Bellagio didn’t fail me with it’s water fountain

but the show is not as good as the one i watched the last time around coz now they play stupid song like Pop song wtf not romantic also

while we waited for the next fountain show, we crossed the street over to Paris Paris where the view is absolutely breathtaking

and i wanted to be in the photo so bad so i asked Kevin to take it for me. turned out like this:

the wind is crazy so we decided to call it a night. drove to a convenience store where we grabbed a dozen of beer. went back to our fabulous suite and drink away.

we had a pretty short 2nd day in vegas, we only managed to drop by Mandalay Bay

where they had champagne buffet lunch at bayside buffet Mandalay Bay

the poor old me know i wouldn’t enjoy it at all. so i decided to walk around and scout for food

and i had a pretty filling brunch in starbucks of a hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant *drool

while i waited for them to devour their ribs, i took the tram to Luxor alone

where i met a nice couple who asked if i need help taking photo of myself since i’m alone wtf

but i told them it’s okay because i looked like i haven’t slept for days and it’s not a good photo day wtf

i met up with the guys after 2 hours of wandering around. and we headed down to Hoover Dam

where i honestly hope that i could see Megatron trapped or Optimus hanging on the wall

but no signs of them and the dam is hell of peaceful

i don’t know if you could see the time at the back. it’s nevada time and there’s another arizone time just opposite it showing the border line of 2 states

all of us. see my boss is so fair wtf

and me again because the view is so breathtakingly peaceful and beautiful but i spoiled the whole photo wtf

so that’s all for Vegas. the only regret is that we missed the Siren show again and also Cirque du Soleil T____T

i hope i can go again because i just like to hang out there. no other reason. vegas oh vegas.
